Legal Help Directory

* required

People often have many different legal needs after a crime – finding safe housing, obtaining child support, or getting time off from work to go to court. The Georgia Victim Legal Assistance Network is an online resource to help victims of crime learn about their rights and connect them with resources.

If you are a victim of crime who lives in or has a civil legal problem in Georgia, our online directory can help you find information and assistance.

Victims of crime have the right to call 9-1-1 and report the crime to the police. You do not have to report the crime to be considered a crime victim or to use the tools on this online resource.

Help With Other Needs
  • For immediate help and to report a crime, call 911.
  • To find a list of other nonprofit legal services providers in Georgia, visit the GeorgiaLegalAid.org Find Legal Help Directory.
  • The Georgia Criminal Justice Coordinating Council also offers links to helpful resources, including sexual assault centers, domestic violence shelters, child advocacy centers and more. Visit the CJCC's website to learn more.
